This is Vaughn Monroe's excellent rendering of this tune from "The Ride Back", a western movie released in 1957 starring Anthony Quinn and William Conrad. Eddie Albert was the singer of the film version. Here are the lyrics, not sure they are correct. The ride back, the ride back I'm taking that long ride back I'm no man of violence, but I'm facing a test There someone in Cerralvo I've got to arrest It's four days journey and it's lonely at best, Why do I have to go?
