QUIET FLOWS THE DON (2006) Edited by Paul LaMastra, ACE
a sweeping epic period film (Western actors cast for intrinsically Russian roles aside); the third film adaptation based on the Nobel Prize winning novel by Michail Sholokov; and the final cinematic canvas unveiled of legendary Russian director Sergei Bondarchuk. The director suffered a fatal heart attack after a rough cut - without ever seeing the eventual 180-minute-long release version of the film (Russian title: Tikhiy Don). It was ultimately edited by Paul LaMastra, ACE, years after Bondarchuk's death, with original music by Luis Bacalov. Cinematography: Daniele Nannuzzi, Production Design: Danilo Donati, Costume Design: Sibylle Ulsamer, Production Manager: Francesco Sforza. Featured actors: Rupert Everett, Delphine Forest, F.
