Samuel Blumenfeld on the Shakespeare Hoax, part 3
Samuel Blumenfeld, author of The Marlowe-Shakespeare Connection: A New Study of the Authorship Question, interviewed by a Harvard undergrad in Cambridge, MA, on May 14, 2009. In this segment, Blumenfeld theorizes that Marlowe fled England after May 30, 1593, in order to escape the torture and probable death that awaited him the result of Archbishop Whitgift's Inquisition. Blumenfeld theorizes that Marlowe probably escaped to Italy (where many Shakespeare plays are set), a country he may have visited before.
