Judith Hearne (Maggie Smith) fell for James Madden (Bob Hoskins), believing him a man of the world, although he was only interested in the money he assumed she had. After he learns the truth about her, he is forced to make it clear that he has no affection for her whatsoever, breaking the poor woman's already fragile heart. However, the cruel owner of the guests house she is staying in, needs her to believe that a marriage is still possible and plots a scheme behind her back. *I'm sorry that I can't upload the whole thing but I have no means to rip the complete DVD, so I can just pick some great scenes. And there are so many!
