The Westerner - For A Lock Of Hair
1940 Studio Western from director William Wyler starring Gary Cooper and Walter Brennan as the infamous Judge Roy Bean. The fictitious Cooper character is brought before the judge for horse stealing. While the jury is decided his fate, Cooper is trying to win over the judge by pretending to be an admirer of Bean's heartthrob, Lily Langtry, even to have a lock of her hair. Brennan won his third Oscar as a supporting actor, the only actor to do so in the history of the Academy.
