Jerome Moross - Theme From The Big Country (Original Stereo)

Jerome Moross says that his Academy Award nominated musical score from the 1958 film, "The Big Country", was inspired by a walk he had taken through the flatlands of New Mexico. His score sets a perfect mood for one of the best westerns ever filmed, directed by William Wyler and starring among others Gregory Peck, Charlton Heston, Jean Simmons, and Burl Ives in a Best Supporting Actor winning role. The film and its theme on how to handle conflict became a favorite for President Eisenhower during his 2nd term.
