This is a musical tribute to the 1981 film "The Earthling" which starred William Holden (in one of his last roles) and Ricky Schroder. The end credits of this rare film contain a beautiful theme song "Halfway Home", written by David Shire & Carol Connors, and perfomed by Maureen McGovern ("The Morning After"). The song is even more rare than the film and was only briefly available as a 45 rpm single when the film came out back in 1981.The song plays in its entirety here along with scenes from the film.
