Barbara Stanwyck Academy Awards and Honorary Oscar

At the Academy Awards that took place in 1978, William Holden surprised his good friend Barbara Stanwyck by paying an unexpected tribute to her as the one who started his career going. Four years later, Stanwyck was awarded an Honorary Oscar for her work in films. In her acceptance speech, she dedicated the award to William Holden, who had passed away since the last time they were on stage at the Oscars.
