IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE - The Best Love Scene Ever Filmed, long version
Donna Reed and James Stewart in Frank Capra's Christmas classic, It's A Wonderful Life from 1946, when they really knew how to make a movie. Stewart had not made a movie since the 1941 film Ziegfeld Girl, but the 5 year gap for military service did not diminish his acting skills in the least. Girl next door, Donna was perfectly cast as the love interest to Stewart's George Bailey. You have to wonder if they treated Donna Reed for neck whiplash after filming this scene. This scene was 100 pounds of emotion in a 5 pound container. Hollywood, sadly, will never again produce a movie at this level. This is the long version, 8:21 min., I will also post the short version. This movie also had a colorized version, which was nicely done, but colorized classics are generally like yellow snow, something to avoid. Be sure to use the 480 setting.
