Let's get to it. So, why the walk-offs? Well, Vinny seemed to be battling a bout of homesickness, since — after six weeks of shooting in Italy — the cast was forced to jump straight into shooting Season 5 in Seaside Heights, with only a few days of break time in between. Anyone who knows Vinny knows that he needs to catch up on quality time with Mama Guadagnino...and her cooking. When Mike felt similarly pressured by the oh-so-grueling production schedule, he too bailed, and told paparazzi waiting in front of the house that he didn't need luck to survive outside the Shore house. Of course, both cast members came crawling back hours later to carry out their Season 5 sentences — although, Vinny did enjoy a brief respite back in his native Staten Island, where there was undoubtedly a box of Entenmann's doughnuts awaiting his arrival.
