Here is a write up to Lefty Frizzell's SAGINAW MICHIGAN. Jim Minor was one of the writers of this song. I have a 1963 demo recording of Jim singing this song (see my videos). On the Capitol 1964 Tex Ritter 45rpm record it lists Wayne, Anderson, Ripley as the writers. I know Jim Minor and Jack Ripley wrote the song. Jack was a country singer and a comedian from the Michigan area. I can remember as a child Jack coming over to the house and Jack and dad would sing and write songs. I showed dad this record and he couldn't figure out how come he wasn't listed as writer. Todd Minor
