Tex Ritter 'Gunsmoke' 78 RPM
The b side to The Wayward Wind, Gunsmoke was an American western series first broadcast on radio (1952-1961) and later on tv (1955-1975) James Arness (Matt Dillon) and Milburn Stone (Doc Adams) appeared throught the tv series 20 year run. William Conrad played Dillon in the radio series. The theme tune to both the radio and tv series was an instrumental entitled Old Trails and sometimes known as Boothill and was composed by Rex Koury, words were added by Glenn Spencer and recorded by Tex Ritter although the vocal version was never heard on either the radio or tv series.
