BELLINI 3.6 (1960) Sports Car w/ Terry Thomas

The infamous BELLINI 3.6 (Dennis Jenkinson once screamed that "that bloody s__t-box has scared more race car pilots into early retirement than any other!") being thrown about the mean streets of London...in anger, by Terry Thomas. All it's life, this sled had the unenviable ability, under race conditions, to veer in the opposite direction from which it was steered! Eventually it's spaghetti-like tubular frame was found to be the culprit...some of it's epoxied joints (no proper welds, here), were becoming undone and allowing for heroic amounts of movement/flex! During one nightmarish adventure, Clive Sussman (who apparently LOST a bet) was 1/2 way through Eau Rouge "veering", when an engine mount snapped, with a loud report, AS-WELL-AS his bloody seat coming undone. As he put it later, "Blimey, I had an instant panic attack...would have bailed-out, if I wasn't paralyzed in terror!" He put it into the nearest bank and considered it his good fortune. The remains were given to a dealer in scrap, WHO then did sell the car to the production company that produced the Terry-Thomas flick.
