Emmys 2011, Best Choreography Nominee: Travis Wall

This video contains the dances that Travis Wall has been nominated for for Best Choreography at the 2011 Emmys. The dances are shown in the order that I personally like them, from least to most. Fix You (Contemporary): Though it isn't a person favorite, I must admit that this dance is very good. Travis really used the song as a base for what he wanted to get across in his message, but he also used the music to influence his choreography. The result is a great performance by the dancers as well as an emotional message to views. Collide (Contemporary): Travis Wall does something so so good in this routine. He makes people watching it nostalgic, he brings joy, he brings sadness, he makes you smile and tear up at the same time. I also think Travis was lucky to get Kent Boyd and Lauren Froderman to perform this number. They have great chemistry together, and that was really needed for this dance. How It Ends (Contemporary): This is one of my absolute favorite dances that I have ever seen. It is second to Time by Mia Michaels, but only barely. Travis amazes me with the beautiful story he tells, the fantastic choreography, the great choice of music, and the ability of the dancers. Neil and Kent dance so well together, and they help to create magic in this piece. Overall: Of all the nominees, I believe Travis' three dances present the best package. All three of his routines are strong and have the ability to project to a viewer. I think that Travis Wall deserves to win this ...
