Stormy Monday Trailer

STORMY MONDAY (1988) stars Sean Bean, Tommy Lee Jones, Sting & Melanie Griffith and was the film debut of director Mike Figgis who also wrote the screenplay and composed the jazz soundtrack. The story takes place in Newcastle, England where a corrupt businessman (Jones) tries to strong-arm a jazz club owner into selling his club. This was my first Sean Bean movie (Patriot Games, Lord of the Rings) and while he's not even mentioned in the trailer, the film centers on his character, Brendan, a likable apprentice to jazz club owner, Finney, played by Sting who plays upright bass in the soundtrack.
