A Christmas Carol (1984) - Highlights

Here are a few scenes from the 1984 film "A Christmas Carol" (released theatrically in the UK; premiered on CBS in the US). Starring George C. Scott, Frank Finlay, David Warner, Edward Woodward, and Susannah York. Directed by Clive Donner. Screenplay by Roger O. Hirson. Music by Nick Bicat. This version is probably closer in tone to Charles Dickens' original story than any other filmed adaptation. It's genuinely moving and even scary, and George C. Scott makes for a very believable and human Scrooge. No copyright infringement intended. This movie is available on DVD and Blu-ray from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. I highly recommend it.
