A Scandal in Belgravia - by Steven Moffat Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman & Lara Pulver Here are some things that I didn't mention in the reaction video: Good stuff: The music was fantastic. It felt more unique than the score to the first series and I can't wait for the soundtrack release. I loved the dynamic camera work, especially in the scene transitions and words that appeared in Sherlock's mind. Obvious fan service with Benedict losing his bedsheets ;D Bad stuff: Lestrade was very underused. I found this disappointing because I love Rupert Graves, however there are still 2 episodes to go so it's not a complaint. Watson had a new girlfriend? Why? It served no purpose to the story and i'm guessing it was just thrown in because they couldn't get the actress who played Sarah back. I felt that trying to make the conclusion link back to the "boring" cases from the beginning was overkill. It felt like the episode was trying to be too smart for its own good and was just unnecessary. How did Irene fake her death the first time? Sherlock identified the body (a body that was clearly dead with a bloodied and beaten face) so how did she get away with it? Decoy? Drugs? What? It's never even hinted at or confirmed. That's just frustrating and reaks a bit of lazy and slapdash writing.
