An infamous match for the NWA US Championship devised by legendary "Rowdy" Roddy Piper under the instructions of "put on the most brutal match you can come up with." Piper had sustained an ear injury prior to this match, and a fistful of chain from Valentine to Roddy's ear broke Piper's ear drum and cost him 50% of the hearing in his left ear.
