Kindly refrain from debating who is Henry's the true and loving wife cuz it's all in the past and nothing is gonna change no matter how long we can debate. To me, the ghosts of Katherine, Anne & Jane are representing his deepest guilts & regrets (if he had any)... (1) Abandoning Katherine D'Aragon, a wife of 20yrs with an excuse of some biblical verses that is firstly, related more to the Jews and secondly, twisted to suit his own purposes.... (2) If Henry had arranged a decent marriage for Princess Mary, then she wouldn't have made the biggest mistake of marrying Phillip from Spain that led to her 'Bloody Mary' stigma... (3) Pushing all the blame on Anne Boleyn & executing her based on false trumped up charges.... (4) Marrying Katherine Howard just to satisfy his ego that he's still robust and attractive. Their vast differences in almost everything were the ingredients for a disasterous marriage... (5) By killing AB & KH, he had forever inserted an immense dreadful fear of marriages and the need of male heirs into Princess Elizabeth's mind. I bet she wanted to have children too but she's constantly wary of men's hidden intentions, esp during that time period. The mysterous death of Robert Dudley's wife did not help either.... (6) Henry was so insane abt having a male heir that he forgotten the next vital step - training Edward to be King and finding good trusted subjects who would support his son till he reached maturity. Historically, Henry's Will did not appoint Edward ...
