Turns out that Leslie Lee Bell and Michael Feldman made their television debut with Shirley Jones (kind of) on May 11th, 1984 (with even Susan Dey on at the end of the week) on one of the country's longest running local daytime TV shows: Sunup! San Diego. If you recognize the host's voice here, yep, that's Jerry G. Bishop, who, as Jerry G., Cleveland's #1 DJ, toured with and extensively interviewed the Beatles and went on to be the announcer for "Judge Judy". While Brian Setzer was doing the "Stray Cat Strut" in England as a trio, Leslie Lee Bell and Michael Feldman of The Forever Family, and their BangGang 21-man rock and roll First Bang Band made history on LIVE TV at 8 in the morning on their DEBUT gig in front of 200+ wonderful screaming female fans and 12 dancing bears (well, folks in bear costumes). Thanks to EVERYONE who made that day possible, from the guys in the band to the women to the cast and crew and live director who were knocked for a loop when they walked in that morning.
