What appealed to me enormously, apart from the sheer thrill of being published, was to have a shot at writing "Doctor Who" (1963). Not only that, but to write "Doctor Who" as I thought it should be done, effectively redressing what I felt to have been wrong with the programme in its later years.

BIRTHDAY CALL FOR MR GATISS

So I found out this morning that today (October 17th) is the birthday of Mark Gatiss. (One of the creatures and writers of the new BBC Sherlock series. Plus the actor for Mycroft Holmes.) Happy Birthday, sir! So, basically, I am disgustingly in love with this man. (I'll be back to normal after the next season comes out, I think.) What can I say? He looks excellent in a suit and is a giant Doctor Who geek. He's like Stephen Fry plus Scyfy. Plus writer. (RIGHT up my alley.) So, I mashed up a quick video for his birthday. (Yes I feel stalkerish. Yes I'm going to go crawl into a corner of awkward now.) OVERUSED SONG IS OVERUSED. UNDERUSED COVER IS UNDERUSED. I think it's "Umbrella" by All Time Low...maybe? Also, the fanart at the end is by ReaperSun from Tumblr. SHE IS AN AMAZING PERSON. Go check her out. reapersun.tumblr.com (And yes, I do in fact have homework I should be doing. I shall do it now. Bye.) I DON'T OWN BBC SHERLOCK OR UMBRELLA. THE FIRST IS OWNED BY MR GATISS AND MR MOFFAT. THE SECOND BY...AN ARTIST. (I'm not sure how the laws apply when it comes to covers. They are applied by lawyers in business suits with briefcases. I have none of those 3 requirements.)
