Christmas New York "Greetings of Love"

Ten years ago I composed this Memorial Song. To the Heroes of 9/11 who gave their lives in the service of others. They will always be remembered in our hearts. The Garden of Remembrance at Ringfinnan near Kinsale Ireland was planted by the late Kathleen Murphy, a native of the town, living in Manhattan, New York. Kathleen was a nurse on duty at Lenox Hill Hospital on the morning of the disaster. Some weeks later Kathleen decided that she would plant a tree in her garden in Kinsale for the Officers and Firefighters of the FDNY who were lost on that terrible September day. Returning to Kinsale she spent the next several weeks choosing the trees and planting them. By the time her task was complete 343 trees were planted securely and each tree was named for the lost FDNY members of 911. Today, ten years later, the trees continue to thrive in the beautiful elevated garden overlooking the town of Kinsale and its beautiful harbour. Sixteen days after that terrible September day on the 27th of September 2001 'Greetings of Love' was composed. The song and its story, my friends, is a very long one, much too long to narrate here.
