This version of the Muffy Richardson original song, "Get On The Train" was recorded and produced by Nile Rodgers and recording engineer, Richard Hilton, and features Susan Mufson on vocals. Her daughters, Lauren and Gabrielle also contributed violin and vocal tracks respectively. The song and recording/video project was inspired by my sister, Susan, Nile Rodgers, and the "We Are Family Foundation" (WAFF; www.wearefamilyfoundation.org) - a not-for-profit organization dedicated to world peace. More about Get On The Train and WAFF: About 5 years ago, my sister, Susan, called me and: (a) informed me that, as part of her involvement with WAFF, she had an exciting and unique opportunity to participate in "two recording sessions" with a world-renown, legendary songwriter, musician and producer - Nile Rodgers (who also founded WAFF, and who wrote the song, "We Are Family" for Sister Sledge in 1979; he still tours the world with the group he founded, CHIC, whose number-one hit, "Le Freak" remains as Warner Bros.' biggest-selling single of all time; he has also produced, written or played for a number of the industry's greatest artists, including Madonna, David Bowie, Diana Ross, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Duran Duran, and the B-52's), and... (b) she also asked me to help her by writing two songs for her to bring into the recording sessions, which Nile would then record and produce.
