Mark Clements spent 28 years serving a sentence of juvenile life without parole, before being proven innocent and released. Mark was a police torture victim in the infamous scandal in Chicago involving police under the command of Lt. John Burge. Since he was released over a year ago, he has fought tirelessly to win justice for other police torture victims and all prisoners. He currently works as an administrator and outreach coordinator with the Campaign to End the Death Penalty. Here he speaks out in solidarity with Georgia death row prisoner Troy Davis.
