Mountaineer Madness - John Flowers
West Virginia junior forward John Flower dethroned 2008 champion Devin Ebanks in the 2009 dunk contest during Mountaineer Madness Friday night in the WVU Coliseum. In front of a nearly packed house, Flowers pulled three students out of the student section and jumped over all of them en route to a thunderous dunk to take the competition over Ebanks in the finals. The group of judges including former players and current WVU president James P. Clements awarded Flowers nearly perfect scores on the dunk.
