Soon to be known around the globe for his striking good looks, incredible charm, and innovative dance moves (he has been referred to as a modern day Gene Kelly), fresh-faced actor, Joe Slaughter is about to make his big screen debut in the highly-anticipated dance film "Step Up 3-D," set to premiere in August 6, 2010. Cast as the bad boy "Julien" in the first ever theatrical 3-D dance movie, Joe leads alongside Adam Sevani (Step Up 2: The Streets) in a downpour of hip hop choreography and spellbinding drama. Joe's impressive career as a dancer began when he was five years old and enrolled in ballet to stay occupied while his sister was in her dance class. Although it seemed like he was just passing the time, after several years, Joe became fascinated with break and hip-hop dancing. In order to diversify and strengthen his talents, he also took concentrated classes in ballet, jazz and lyrical dance. At the age of sixteen, he signed with a modeling agent at a boutique agency in Chicago. Now, over the last three years, he has built up an impressive resume listing runway, print and commercial work for brands such as Levis, Calvin Klein, Gap, Target and Ed Hardy. At the age of 21, Joe decided to take his love for performing one step further and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career. Upon his move, Joe became a recipient of the Millennium Dance Scholarship and went on to dance for superstar musical acts such as Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, and The Pussycat Dolls. Soon enough ...
