SMS CAMPAIGN - text 4 5 5 0 - in ITALY only (17-23 October 2011) In the Horn of Africa, 80% of the population depend on agriculture and pastoralism for a living but drought is affecting 15 million people. A fundraising campaign has been launched which will respond to the drought-stricken population of the Horn of Africa. The campaign is backed by the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs in partnership with FAO, IFAD and WFP and it aims not only to respond with emergency relief, but also to lay the roots for a more sustainable future.
