Hi Idol fanatics, Bridget Daly here with your ClevverMusic Idol recap. And then...there were three! James Durbin was sent packing last night in a very tearful episode of AI. Ryan sent Lauren Alaina to safety first, something which seemed to take her completely by surprise. After a few long breaks filled with commercials and performances, the second person sent over the gold stools was Haley Reinhart. That left Scotty McCreery and James Durbin left to battle it out for the last spot, but in the end, it was the southern crooner who ended up with more votes. James emotionally watched as his Idol journey played on the screen, and ended the show with a touching performance of 'Maybe I'm Amazed.' So there ya have it! Scotty, Haley and Lauren will be headed on their own private jets back to their hometowns where they'll all receive a parade, and be able to connect with the people who have likely been voting for them the whole way through.
