Hey Everyone I'm Chelsea Cannell coming to your from our Clevver Movies Headquarters here in Hollywood. The role of superman in the upcoming re-boot was one that was coveted by many. There were a lot of actors who were seen for the role -- but only one who rocked the suit enough to get the gig. Entertainment Weekly did an interview with Zack Snyder recently where the director revealed that one of the main reasons Henry Cavill got cast was because no one laughed when he put on the suit. Apparently the star had some kind of crazy confidence that made Synder just go WOW! The director says he knew "This WAS superman." Definitely a huge compliment considering all the actors had to test wearing a replica of Christopher Reeves famous suit which Snyder added uped that ante. The director said rather candidly, " if you can put on that suit and pull it off -- that's an awesome Achievement!" Good point!
