The Other Fellini / L'altro Fellini

Federico and Riccardo were two brothers born in Rimini in the 1920. After growing up under the Italian fascist government, tired of their provincial and narrow-minded surroundings offering no future opportunities, they left for Rome looking to turn their dreams into reality. These were not two ordinary brothers because their surname Fellini become soon part of Italian and international cinema history. Riccardo's life, however, was that of an also-ran; he is remembered as "the other Fellini", the brother of the irrefutable master of cinema, Federico Fellini. The Other Fellini shines a new and different light on the world renowned cinematic master Federico Fellini. This story, told through the contrasting parallel lives of the two brothers, deals with timeless and universal themes. And it is also an occasion to tell the parable of Italian cinema from the last years of the fascist regime up to the devastating crisis in the 70's and 80's during the explosion of television.
