Stock broker Nick Carraway consents to play Cupid for his rich married first cousin Daisy Buchanen and her former love, successful bootlegger and forger Jay Gatsby. This TV adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald was aired on 14th January, 2001. Gatsby is well-known for throwing fabulous, hedonistic summer parties in 1922 West Egg, Long Island. Gatsby befriends Nick and enlists him in to broker a meeting between him and his former love Daisy Buchanen, Nick's cousin.
