This is my 12-string acoustic cover of the little known song "What's a Matter Baby (Is It Hurting You)" performed by Timi Yuro. That version is a very early Phil Spector tune produced before he earned fame with his legendary "Wall of Sound" stable of artists. The song was written by Clyde Otis and Joy Byers and has been recorded by various performers (including Del Shannon, Billy Joe Royal, The Small Faces, Ellen Foley, Virginia Davis, Carl Wayne and the Vikings, Susie Allanson, and LJ Reynolds & Chocolate Syrup), but it has never really been the hit that it deserves to be.
