Elaine Hendrix is presented the 2009 Guardian Award by Dr. Elliot Katz, founder and president of In Defense of Animals at the 2009 Animal Rights Conference in Los Angeles. Also giving a heart felt introduction is French Stewart who vowed to live a more consciously humane lifestyle due to his admiration of Elaine. Aside from being involved with humanitarian efforts, cancer research, the environment and children's issues, Elaines greatest passion is the humane treatment of animals.
