Cara Dillon Eirigh Suis A Stoirin

Cara was in very good form at the Kammgarn Cultural Centre in Switzerland on Friday 6th March 2009 and explained to an attentive audience what this Gaelic Song is about, which brought a smile to my face. I never heard Cara sing this song before, but it sounded familiar and I found out that I do have a version by Maire Brennan in my CD collection. My friend Uwe was apologetic that he had insufficient Memory Space on his camera to capture the whole song, but you certainly get a good flavour of it and Cara is touring extensively around the UK in the upcoming months, so get along and hopefully hear it in full, live for yourselves. This video gives me a chance to introduce the band, on the fiddle is James O'Grady, lead acoustic guitar is Ed Boyd and Guitar accompaniment by Sam Lakeman, Cara's husband.
