Please activate HD. This video was made with a lot of will and a Canon Eos 7D. PJ Harvey gave her definition of the devil in one of her interviews: "This element of ourselves that is the insanity we don't understand". It perfectly fitted my vision. Since I had a lot of constraints I tried to turn them into artistic choices. I playfully used headligths in the middle of nowhere or transformed my room in a photographic studio. Given that I was both before and behind the camera, I had to find a way how to evoke a feminine character who would be neutral enough to disappear behind PJ Harvey. I sewed the Victorian dress by hand in the summer and burnt it in autumn for the video.
