I thoroughly enjoyed those years. I liked Westerns for two reasons: First, it took the actor outside. They were all very physical at that time and not limited to a stage. Second, they paid my rent an awful lot.

Star Trek: DeForest Kelley on ABC News "To Boldly Go"

This is DeForest Kelley on the ABC News program "20/20" (I think) narrating a segment called "To Boldly Go" which compares classic Star Trek to Next Generation. A word of caution, though: this is old, rough videotape which has unfortunately not aged well and there is a LOT of "bottoming out". Hopefully someone else will be able to put up a better quality print someday. In the meantime, I sincerely hope you can enjoy this even if only for the rarity of the footage.
