Discussion of FTM representations in media focusing on characters Max from the L Word, Brandon from Boys Don't Cry and Daniel from recent episode of The Listener on NBC. I argue that there are two dominant themes that emerge from these narratives of victimization and the use of trans people as a teaching tool.
