Ella Fitzgerald - Fascinating Rhythm (Original Stereo)

"Fascinating Rhythm" was composed by George and Ira Gershwin for the 1924 stage production of "Lady Be Good" where it was first introduced by Fred & Adele Astaire and Cliff Edwards (who would go on to become the voice of the Disney character Jiminy Cricket and sing "When You Wish Upon A Star"). The song has since become a part of the Great American Songbook recorded by many including this 1959 version recorded by Ella Fitzgerald with Nelson Riddle arranging and conducting the orchestra. Upon the completion of Ella's "Gershwin Songbook" of which this was a part, lyricist Ira Gershwin, still alive at the time, remarked, "I never knew how good our songs were until I heard Ella sing them".
