Bond Learning Center naming ceremony
On June 17, Missouri State University and the William H. Darr School of Agriculture dedicated the new Christopher S. Bond Learning Center at a naming ceremony recognizing Senator Bond. According to the resolution passed by the Board of Governors, the naming honors Bond's "long and distinguished career in public service" and "his advocacy for agriculture in Missouri and at Missouri State." Attendees at the event included Senator Bond; representatives from the offices of Senator Roy Blunt, Senator Claire McCaskill, Congressman Billy Long and Congresswoman Jo Ann Emerson; and Springfield, Greene County and University officials. The day's events included the naming ceremony, reception and facility tours. The new Bond Learning Center includes offices, a laboratory, two classrooms and a large multipurpose room suitable for meetings, banquets and other functions.
