We're counting down 2011's biggest new musical artists that exploded onto the scene this year. Starting with number 5, Christina Grimmie. She got her start on YouTube--where she is known as zeldaxlove64--covering songs by artists such as Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera. But she quickly caught the eye of Selena Gomez, and was asked to open up for her on her We Own The Night Tour. She later released her first single "Advice" on June 11. Number 4 goes to Jessie J. Before getting famous for Do It Like a Dude and Price Tag, she was the one who wrote the Miley Cyrus hit Party in the USA---and she's British! Her debut album Who You Are dropped in February, and she was then asked to join Katy Perry as the opener on her California Dreams tour. She also became a coach and mentor for contestants on The Voice UK. Our number three pick is J.Cole, Jay-Z's latest prodigy. His album Cole World: The Sideline Story came out in September, and accompanied Rihanna for her Loud Tour. He's nominated for best new artist at the 2012 Grammys, and Jay thinks he has it in the bag.
