This is an interview that Anita Marshall and I provided to WOOD-TV8 on February 5, 2008 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It includes video of Mary's 4th anniversary vigil on March 12, 2008. The video also contains news clips from WWMT-TV, Channel 3 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The family of Mary Denise Lands is grateful for all the news coverage that has been ongoing for the last 4 years. Because of the media, supporters and friends we have no doubt that this case will be solved and we will bring Mary home. Christopher Luke Pratt, Mary's former boy-friend is now an inmate at Bellamy Creek Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan. He was sentenced up to 15 years for domestic violence crimes not related to the Mary Lands case. www.state.mi.us March 12, 2009- 9:00 AM- Well this is not a good sign and obviously came on a sad day for the family, the 5th anniversary of Mary's disappearance. Chris Pratt was just moved from Level II at Mound Correctional Facility in Detroit to Cooper Street Correctional Facility in Jackson. He was reduced to the minimum standard of MDOC and reclassified as Level I. Next we will hear that because of prisons closing and staff reductions he will soon be released. Because his convictions were related to domestic violence he should not be eligible for parole until February 2012. You have to wonder if that criteria enacted by the Michigan legislature will be thrown out and he is looking at a release in the very near future? Norreen Parker, his most recent victim ...
