THIS SCENE Chris O'Donnell plays Dick Grayson, who according to this film is a 28 year old child. His whole family dies in an circus accident, leaving him to do his own laundry. Without a dryer, Dick learns the necessary martial arts skills to dry his laundry. Skills which he probably acquired after years of street fighting, and being in several motorcycle gangs. Later, Bruce Wayne takes Dick in as his foster son. This film was nominated for 6 academy awards. Best Picture, Best Actor in a Leading Role ( Chris O'Donnell), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Alicia Silverstone), which was Alicia's second nomination after her first for Clueless, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, and Best Director (Joel Schumacher). The scene is also infamous for the "Wink that Broke a Million Hearts". Batman Forever is an intriguing emotional roller coaster ride that never stops. The plot grabs you from the start, and you keep asking yourself question after question. The much anticipated follow up "Batman & Robin" answers those questions, goes deeper into the psyche of the dark knight, and his adversaries. It is cinematic art. I suggest both films to anyone.
