These scenes involve ex-cop Burt Reynolds hunting down a serial bomber, played by Dom DeLuise's son Michael. It's supposed to come off as a Buffalo Bill/Silence of the Lambs type showdown, but instead (and especially here out of context) it looks like mean ol' Burt is trying to murder a special needs person.
