Burt Reynolds had a solo number in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" but theatre-goers in 1982, did not get a chance to see it. The song ; "Where Stallions Run" written by Dolly Parton, was later reworked, sung this time by Dolly alone,(and retitled "A Cowboy's Ways") and appeared on Dolly's 1982 lp "Burlap & Satin".The scene where Burt Reynolds sings the song, was filmed, but cut prior to the film's release. It was restored for the network television broadcast of the film, as the film was too short for its time slot after the censors finished their broadcast edits and additional material was needed. This is a duet version with Burt and Dolly's versions cut together. I hope you enjoy it.
