Working with Bob Hoskins was amazing. Much of the cast met for Sunday brunch, each week, to read Shakespeare plays out loud. Each of us read a role. Over bagels and coffee, Bob read his roles quietly, without embellishment; and, of course, he always played a lead. His reading (and this is around a conference table... we were all sitting in chairs) was the finest acting I have ever seen. And, effortless.Like "channeling". His talent is mindblowing. And, he was a great guy. During the filming, he was aware that this movie was gonna sink his career. Yet, still, he kept his professionalism, and dignity; he remained wonderful to work with.
