During career that has spanned seven decades Ms. Lansbury has won five Tony Awards (a record), six Golden Globes (a record), and has been nominated for numerous other industry awards, including eighteen Emmy Awards (a record) as well as tree Academy Awards (holds the record for youngest actress to get two Oscar nominations). Ms. Lansbury will star as Madame Armfeldt in the first Broadway revival of A Little Night Music, with Catherine Zeta-Jones as as Desiree, which is scheduled to open in December 2009.
