For those of you unfamiliar with the story, here's a synopsis: The Object of my Affection, starring Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd, was a 1998 romantic comedy about Nina Borowski, a social worker, and George Hanson, a first grade teacher that become fast friends when George is left unexpectedly by his college professor boyfriend, Doctor Joley and forced to move in with Nina. The pair become very close while George struggles with his break-up and Nina aptly deflects her overbearing boyfriend, Vince, from getting too serious. Thrown into the mix are Nina's bossy step-sister, Constance, played by Allison Janney, and her fun-loving husband Sidney, played by Alan Alda, that are constantly hobnobbing in the Hamptons. The story climbs when Nina becomes pregnant by her boyfriend, only to wish that she were raising the baby with George, whom she is quickly falling for, despite the fact that he is gay. Knowing how strongly Nina wants to be rid of Vince, George agrees to play "daddy" but shortly after meets Paul -- the man of his dreams -- and things get complicated when Nina begins to realize how in love with George she really is. I first saw this movie when I was in roughly eighth grade, and only picked it up due to my obsession with Jennifer Aniston. To this day, nobody holds a candle to Jen in my book. I was a Friends-devotee to the series finale, and remain as such; Jennifer is the true "it" girl for me and even today, I think this movie lives up to how wonderful I thought it ...
